I am a grandmother with a grandson in the army. His brother was in for 3 active years in this Iraq war. Both have been all over the middle east. I am very adament about how our military are treated or mistreated. They are fighting for our freedom. We might not agree with the politicians, but our service men and women need our constant prayers and support. There is so much negative stuff going around, it scares me. I feel that I have 250,000? foster grandchildren out there. I feel that they are all mine and I can feel their pain and confusion. We need to speak out loud and clear, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR ARE DOING AND HAVE DONE. GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU IN HIS LOVING ARES. Am I the only one to feel this way???????????????????

Hi, I feel the same way. I have a son in the National Guard that will be leaving for Iraq sometime after the first of the year. I also have a granddaughter that will be going for her basic training Aug. 22. My son was in Afganistan in 2004 too. We are there and we need to show our support for our troups. I do pray that our government will begin to bring our guys home and let the Iraqis start fighting their own battles. Reality? My son says it won't happen as long as we have this president.

Thank you for addressing the most important topic of the time in your first post! It is so important for our military to be in Iraq until their brand new government and the Iraq people can fend for themselves. This WILL take time and patience on the part of everyone.
The freedom to govern themselves is an entirely new experience.
Dissenters only prolong the process.
Our leadership and military are to be commended for standing firm.
Iraq's freedom as well as our freedom and that of many in the rest of the world, depends on it as terrorists threaten and kill.
The military with soldiers such as your grandchildren - each and every one - are heroic and honorably serve the cause for freedom.

I am planning to do a local report on our military. We have a lot of local veterans and guardsmen. I hope to get it in the local paper for veterans day.My oldest gtandson just left for Korea again!!! I am plannig to visit him there this time, God willing. I like to see where they are if possiable. Then I know for sure how things are!
I am on another new adventure. I am starting a new web business. Tired of not having enough to do to keep me busy and didn't want to go back out side to work. Hope it does good and keeps me financially free and able to travel more. It is not possiable for me to sit and do nothing. Wish me luck and say a prayer for me and my family.
Oh, I met one of my grandson's buddies. Now I have a new foster grandson. He is pretty much alone and he is on his way to Haiwai for three years. I might visit him also if God be willing . Keep him in your prayers also.
Till next time
God bless
